Discolouration and Colorfulness

Description

When I was in an artist group in a community college, I was given an assignment to draw a self portrait picture of me that would express bright and dark sides. I planned this one to be artistic so what I did was draw the other half of the picture as black and white or as I would call it colorless and that itself expresses the gloom and negativity while in the other half of the picture, I added colors in it which express the enthusiasm and positivity. That's all I can say about this picture and these are my thoughts about it and I'm sure everybody has different thoughts, views and opinions about it and I would like to hear them, if you see this picture. Anyhow, I hope you like it. ^^

Have a GREAT day! ^^

That's pretty neat, especially with the grid background. It's interesting to see how the colors go to grey scale. It's also cool how the picture is symmetrical. :D

One thing that I might say, though (this is merely a suggestion) is that, since you stated that the colorless side expresses gloom and sadness, maybe it might make more sense if Andy Cat was maybe frowning a little/slightly sad looking? I know it's already done so you can't change it, and it may not be what you would have wanted to do anyway. It was merely just a thought that came to my mind. Maybe the smile on the left would be expressing hiding the negativity or something. I actually like the symmetry of the picture, but it seems like a more sad or dull expression would express more negativity on the left. Just perhaps a little something for future reference is all. ^^

Sorry, my rambles. xD;;; It's a nice job overall. c:
